Meet the man behind the art: Reverend Donald Smith
Reverend Donald Smith is an artist from Danville, Virginia. He is a retired professional football player. He spent one year with the Dallas Cowboys in 1991 and nine seasons in the Canadian Football League. Donald has diverse styles in drawing and painting, ranging from abstract to realistic images. He also works with oils, acrylics, and charcoals.
This is the start of his artistic endeavors in the United States and he is looking forward to a bright and promising future. Each of his pieces of artwork give us a glimpse inside his soul. In drawing or in painting, the artist exposes his inner feelings and emotions.
Rev. Smith's paintings embodies the theme of "Life," which stems from Proverbs 3:5-6: "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him and He will direct thy path." Rev. Smith is a husband, father of two, and currently serves as the Pastor of St. Matthews Baptist Church in Danville, Virginia.
